Hosting and access logs
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you visit it, Vercel processes your IP address and technical request data (browser, time of access, requested page) to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse. I use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect aggregated, anonymous usage and performance data without cookies. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
Spam protection
Forms on this site are protected by Vercel BotID. When you submit a form, a script evaluates technical signals of your browser to tell humans from bots. The signals are not used for tracking.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the mailing list, I store your email address and first name with Resend to send you updates about new posts and hot sauce batches. Subscribing uses a double opt-in: you only receive updates after confirming the link in the email I send you. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe at any time.
Hot sauce requests and other forms
When you send a request through a form on this site (for example to get a bottle of hot sauce), the information you enter is stored in a database hosted on Vercel's infrastructure and I receive a notification by email. I only use it to answer your request and delete it once it's done, at the latest after twelve months.
Cookies and local storage
Visitors get no tracking cookies. Your theme preference (light or dark) is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. Only the site administrator gets a session cookie when logging in.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact me using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the website changes. Subscribers will be notified of significant changes by email.
